Ceremonies

  • Experienced and skilled practitioners with extensive knowledge of plant medicines.

  • Intimate groups settings: a maximum of ten guest participants.

  • A focus on preparation and intention-setting, in an environment conducive to spiritual exploration.

  • A holistic approach to long-term integration (‘the ceremony begins when the ceremony ends’).

  • Non-profit ethos – all revenue generated is used to sustain and expand the work of Honeydew.

  • Ceremonies only where legally permitted (i.e. Brazil, not Italy)

Post-Ritual Integration

As plant medicines become decriminalised for both therapeutic and ritualistic use, it is important to address the challenges of integrating these transformative experiences.

Emerging from an ecstatic state, individuals are more open-hearted, suggestible, creative; they see glimpses of how they would like to live on a day-to-day basis. But then they ‘reintegrate’ into a society that is actively hostile to this state – an experience that is often is more traumatising than the difficult parts of the journey itself.

At Honeydew, we believe it is impossible to integrate healthily back into the society that made you sick. Instead, we welcome those who wish to cultivate a different outlook: to expand the sacred space of ceremony into their everyday lives; to turn away from consumerism to a focus on collective healing, so that ‘the community is the medicine’.
